The CNC (Centro Nazionale del Cortometraggio national short film centre) presents “Corti d’autore|4”, Alain Resnais: the brief masterpieces at the roots of modern cinema at Cinema Massimo

The Centro Nazionale del Cortometraggio (CNC), funded by the AIACE Nazionale and the National Cinema Museum, presents Corti d’autore|4, our monthly event featuring the best short films in the history of cinema made by the most important film directors of the past and present, on Friday, 21 January 2011, at 8.30 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three. This month’s event, entitled Alain Resnais: the brief masterpieces at the roots of modern cinema, focuses on the debut short films of this French master, poised between delicate surrealism and the liturgy of memory and knowledge. There will be contributions from Gianni Volpi, film critic and historian. Admission: €3.00.
