SUMMER 2022 AT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF CINEMA

Summer 2022 - Mole Antonelliana

The National Museum of Cinema will be regularly open throughout the summer period.

On Monday 15 August (Ferragosto) and Tuesday 16 August, both the museum and the panoramic lift will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition to the rich permanent collection, it will be possible to visit the major exhibition Dario Argento - The Exhibit realised by the National Museum of Cienema and Solares Fondazione delle Arti, the first complete homage dedicated to the genius and work of the filmmaker, visionary master of the thriller. The exhibition, curated by Domenico De Gaetano and Marcello Garofalo, will be on display at the Mole until 16 January 2023.

In the renovated reception area of the Mole Antonelliana, the National Museum of Cinema presents until 26 September 2022 IL GUARDIANO DEI NOSTRI INCUBI (The Guardian of our Nightmares), a collection of 21 plates from the monographic issue of LINUS (May 2022), published by La nave di Teseo, dedicated to Dario Argento and published on the occasion of DARIO ARGENTO - THE EXHIBIT.

The exhibition features the plates that -with different styles peculiar to each author- narrate and give life to as many contemporary visions of Dario Argento and his works, capable of engaging visitors and enticing them to take a step further into that dreamlike universe in which Argento's cinema invites spectators to look in and immerse themselves.

Guided tours, which are available every Sunday throughout the year, are confirmed for the summer period, with the addition of Monday 15 August, at 3 p.m.: the itinerary "Discovering the Museum" allows visitors to get to know the Museum and its wonders, from the shadow theatre to the Lumière brothers, up to the great protagonists of the history of cinema.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes. Cost of visit: €6.00 per person + reduced entrance fee.
