The last event in the SCHERMI AMERICANI (AMERICAN SCREENS) festival features “In search of lost sense: the films of Gus Van Sant”. Between the two films there will be a talk by Andrea Mattacheo.

“In search of lost sense” is an evening focusing on Gus Van Sant, part of the popular film series SCHERMI AMERICANI (AMERICAN SCREENS), which will present – on Wednesday, 8 June 2011, in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three at 7 p.m. – the director’s film Elephant, a winner of the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Afterwards there will be a talk by Andrea Mattacheo, and then at 8.30 p.m. there will be a screening of the film Paranoid Park. Admission: euros 5.50/4.00/3.00.

This event concludes the Schermi americani series, organised by “Gli Ultracorpi”, the university group from Turin’s DAMS college for the performing arts, in partnership with the History of North American cinema faculty.
