The National Cinema Museum turns the Mole Antonelliana pink to celebrate International Women’s Day
On 8 March 2011, International Women’s Day will be celebrated in this city with a series of events organised by Turin’s borough council. To mark the occasion, the National Cinema Museum will have special opening times from 8 p.m. to midnight, admission free.
At 8.30 p.m. on the 8th March 2011, the Mole Antonelliana’s cinema museum will hold a fashion show for "the average-sized woman", organised by the Aldo Passoni sixth-form art college.
At the same time, the Mole Antonelliana will also hold "Pari & Dis-pari", a performance featuring readings on the role of women in the world of employment, organised by the Tedacà association.
Don’t forget that on the 5th March 2011, from 6 p.m. until well into the night, the Mole Antonelliana will be lit up in pink and the Ciudad Juarez veglia artistic installation, by Laura Fusco, will be set up by the entrance. A banner will be hung across the facade of the town hall.
