Remembering Chicca Richelmy: the National Museum of Cinema organises an evening dedicated to this Turin-based film director’s work and supporting the activities of the Associazione Chicca Richelmy.

Cinema Massimo – 21 April 2010, at 9 p.m.

Two years after the untimely death of Turin-based film director Chicca Richelmy – author of many television programmes, documentaries, videoart and videodance projects, as well as the current titles for the Torino Film Festival, produced by Enarmonia – the National Museum of Cinema is organising an evening aimed at remembering her work and in support of the Associazione Chicca Richelmy, founded with the aim of promoting and supporting talented young – and very young – people working in film dramas, documentaries or animation. To this end, in fact, the Association funds the Chicca Richelmy prize, which is awarded at the Torino Film Festival, and organises meetings at various different cultural centres in Turin.

On Wednesday the 21st of April, at 9 p.m., the documentary L’ultimo pane, written by Maurizio Orlandi and directed by Chicca Richelmy, will be shown at Cinema Massimo. Before the screening, there will be a conference with Alberto Barbera, Claudio Meloni, Maurizio Orlandi and Maurizio Tropea.

Admission is free, though there will be a request for donations during the evening. The funds collected will be donated to the Association. For more information, go to: www.chiccarichelmy.org, info@chiccarichelmy.org.
