Lasciando la Baia del Re (Leaving King’s Bay)
(Italy 2011, 78’, DCP, col.)
What happens if a teacher decides to film the pupils during the lessons? And if a pupil decides to film the teacher? This is what happens in the Baia del Re working-class district. There the destinies of a young girl and her mentor meet, transforming the portrait of a strange community into the story of a catharsis after a tragic loss.
