Cinematic Inclusions, the European project on Lithuanian documentary masterpieces, also at the Cinema Massimo.
The National Cinema Museum will host Cinematic Inclusions, the European project organised by the Republic of Lithuania Embassy to celebrate the semester of European Union Presidency on the part of Lithuania, featuring the best of Lithuanian documentary production of all times, Wednesday 23 October 2013, at 8.45 p.m. on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo. Admission is free.
Seven films to recount fragments of the past, captured by filmmakers’ eyes of and by their need for halting the present. Some of these pictures are branded into the country’s collective memory, others are small forgotten gems which it will be lovely to bring back to life, because Lithuanian directors favour what remains marginal or what is about to be erased from memory.
