The third HITCHCOCKIANA event features a roundtable discussion on the master of the thriller and his television work. A presentation of the essay L’ombra e il profilo: Alfred Hitchcock’s TV by Emanuele Bigi.
On Friday, 1 April 2011, at 5.00 p.m. the Laboratorio Multimediale "Guido Quazza" will host a new HITCHCOCKIANA afternoon, featuring a roundtable discussion on the master of the thriller and his television work.
Emanuele Bigi, the author of the essay L’ombra e il profilo (The shadow and profile: Alfred Hitchcock’s TV), (Lindau, 2003) will guide us in the discovery of an unusual Hitchcock compared to that of films, less famous but equally recognisable in terms of stylistic language. A Hitchcock that, during the mid-1950s, decided to experiment with television. The results were “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” and later, “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour”, television series which met with enormous success with audiences.
Giulia Carluccio and Riccardo Fassone from the University of Turin will be participating. Introduction by Paola Bortolaso.
At the end of the presentation, four episodes from the “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” series, filmed by Alfred Hitchcock, will be screened.
