In 1911, during the 50th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, Turin held an extraordinary International Exposition which included among its most important events the first film awards, with prizes in various different categories.

A century later, the National Cinema Museum, in partnership with the Cinémathèque de Toulouse, Bologna’s film archive and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Experimental Cinematography Centre)-National Film Archive, presents these films once more in restored versions.
