Presentation of the diplomas of the Experimental Film Centre with stars from the world of cartoons.
On 27 May 2010 at the Cinema Massimo, Screen One, from 4.00 p.m., Francesco Alberoni, chairman of Fondazione Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Experimental Film Centre Foundation) will present diplomas to the 14 students of the Animated Film Department which, having completed their three-year training course, having spent the past few months taking their first professional steps and will be presenting their test films: Il pasticcere, Arithmétique, Tora Chan and Sotto casa (On my doorstep).
The diploma celebration of CSC Animation is also an opportunity to meet and swap information on the themes of animation, particularly on the evolution of the market and the opportunities offered to production and youngsters taking up this career. Introduced by Sergio Toffetti, director and Chiara Magri, coordinator of he animated film course, the afternoon’s programme will be characterised by interventions, presentations and screenings.
Leading figures in the sector, who keep a close eye on the work done by CSC Animation, will be present: Cartoon Italia, national association of cartoon producers; the association Torino Piemonte Animation, TBS Italia (Cartoon Network and Boing TV – which have supported the CSC Animation project for years, providing scholarships and holding workshops); Bruno Bozzetto; Alfio Bastiancich, chairman of Asifa Italia; Mussi Bollini, head of Rai Tre children’s television.
