The next event in the VOCI DEL SILENZIO (VOICES OF THE SILENCE) festival will be FANTAS(MA)TICHE VISIONI (GHOSTLY VISIONS): Murnau and expressionist film, a presentation of the books “Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau: L’arte di evocare fantasmi” by Andrea Minuz, and “Murnau: Vita e opere di un genio del cinema tedesco” by Lotte H. Eisner.

The next event in the Bibliomediateca will be on Wednesday, 6 April 2011 at 8.30 p.m. and will feature a presentation of the books Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau: L’arte di evocare fantasmi (The art of summoning ghosts) by Andrea Minuz, published by the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo in 2010 and Murnau: Vita e opere di un genio del cinema tedesco (The life and work of a genius of German film) by Lotte H. Eisner, published by Alet Edizioni in 2010.

There will be contributions from Andrea Minuz (University La Sapienza, Rome), Chiara Sandrin (University of Turin) and Pier Giorgio Tone (film historian). Introduction by: Cristina Colet (Brigate Irma Vep).

Afterwards there will be a screening of Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau’s Phantom, (Germany 1922, 119’) starring Alfred Abel, Lya de Putti and Lil Dagover. Original German version with English subtitles.
