A screening of Daniele Cini’s documentary Noi che siamo ancora vive (We Who Are Still Alive) as part of SAPERI DI DONNA (THE WISDOM OF WOMEN).

In the Bibliomediateca on Thursday the 9th of December 2010 at 4 p.m. there will be a screening of Turin-based film director Daniele Cini’s documentary Noi che siamo ancora vive (We Who Are Still Alive).

The screening, the second in the SAPERI DI DONNA (THE WISDOM OF WOMEN) programme, shown in the Bibliomediateca, tackles the painful subject of the largest case of genocide in Argentina’s history and has been organised to coincide with a presentation of the book Donne ai tempi dell’oscurità: Voci di detenute politiche nell’Argentina della dittatura militare (Women in dark times: The voices of political prisoners in the Argentina of the military dictatorship) by the author Norma Victoria Berti held on the 2nd of December at the Biblioteca Italo Calvino library.

SAPERI DI DONNA (THE WISDOM OF WOMEN) is a series of talks and screenings – promoting a culture of respect, equality and equal opportunities among men and women, through a series of meetings in libraries throughout the region – organised in partnership with Turin city council’s Equal Opportunities and Gender Policies department, Turin’s Public Libraries, Department for the disabled-Passepartout Service, Fondazione Torino Musei-Borgo Medievale Museum-Medieval Hamlet Foundation, the Documé Association and the Fondazione Teatro Nuovo Torino-Liceo Teatro Nuovo.
