A conference entitled INDIA, INDIA for the DIALOGHI IN CORSO festival, featuring a presentation of Alessandro Monti, Irma Piovano and Aelfric Bianchi’s book Chalta Hai: Così va il mondo. Bollywood specchio dell’India (Chalta Hai-C’est la vie: Bollywood, a mirror of India) and a screening of Franz Osten’s film Prapancha pash.

A new conference completely dedicated to India – the guest country at this year’s 23rd International Book Fair, as part of the DIALOGHI IN CORSO Presentation of new books, DVDs and readings festival. The conference will begin with a presentation of the book Chalta Hai: Così va il mondo. Bollywood specchio dell’India conducted by its authors Alessandro Monti, Irma Piovano, Aelfric Bianchi, CESMEO – The International Institute for Advanced Asian Studies and the DOST Archives of the Oriental Department of the University of Turin, 2010.

Afterwards there will be readings from Chita Divakaruni’s novel The Palace of Illusions, read by students of Turin’s Teatro Stabile theatre.
