Torino Film Festival
One of the most important cinema festivals on the national and international scene, Torino Film Festival offers a “young” kind of cinema, which is attentive to the innovation of the language of cinema, new authors and new trends. It has a large following amongst professionals in the sector and cinema buffs thanks to the combination of auteur movies, tributes and retrospectives.
Directed by Stefano Francia di Celle, the Festival presents the “International feature films competition”, TFFdoc (a macrosection dedicated to international and national documentaries), the “Italian short films competition”, the non-competitive sections "Festa mobile", "After Hours" (an overview of recent B-movies), "Onde" (a section focused on experimental work). Finally, the retrospective offering some masterpieces of the history of cinema, a traditional appointment particularly loved by the festival audience.
