For the occasion of World Africa Day and within the broader PLANET AFRICA project, the Cinema Massimo renders tribute to Mahamat-Saleh Haroun’s urgent contemporary opus. His most recent film Grigris, which was in competition in Cannes last year, offers this Chad filmmaker’s poetry intact once again, and at the same time, it locates his cinema within a popular context, in recounting the story of two characters on the fringes of society.
