For the Raison d'ê3 showcase, the MYLF youths are presenting "Tokyo!", a three- episode film curated by Michel Gondry, Leos Carax and Bong Joon-ho.

Cinema Massimo – 22 January 2018, 9.00 p.m. – Screen Three

For this third season, the fruitful collaboration between the MYLF university students group - Movies You'll Like Festival and the National Cinema Museum, has given life to a showcase dedicated to the number 3, called Raison d'ê3. The trilogy is one of the most widespread forms of links between works, whether they be books, films or anything else. The number three, then, is an important esoteric number, often linked to the concepts of end, new beginning and synthesis. In a third chapter we arrive at a summa of the previous ones. We quote them, we pay tribute to them and go back over them, winking at the past but looking at the future. MYLF wants to be all of this, this year: a synthesis of the three years spent together, the end of a project, but also, and perhaps above all, a new beginning

The film chosen for January’s showcase is Tokyo! by Michel Gondry, Leos Carax and Bong Joon-ho. Admission 4.00 euro.

The film is divided into three episodes. In Interior in Design by Michel Gondry, a young couple moves to Tokyo for job reasons. In Merde by Carax, a strange being emerges from the Tokyo sewers and throws the city into panic. Finally, Shaking Tokyo, by Bong Joon-ho, tells the story of a man who has been living in isolation in his apartment for ten years.
