National Cinema Museum – from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 December 2017 – Mole Antonelliana

For the occasion of the Immaculate Conception week end, the National Cinema Museum will be open regularly according to the following hours:

 

Friday 8 December (Immacolata Day)

9.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m.

Saturday 9 December

9.00 a.m. - 11.00 p.m.

Sunday 10 December

9.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m.

 

From 6 December, and for the whole Christmas festivities period, you are all invited to hang photos, items and decorations inspired by cinema or by the Museum collections on the big Christmas Tree on the ground floor at the Mole Antonelliana. Free admission to the Mole Antonelliana ground floor.

 

The activities offered by our educational services for the public and for families will be manifold. On Friday 8 December ,from 4.00 p.m., Cinema under the tree activities with children for creating eye-tricks, as well as Christmas decorations to hang on the tree. Booking is required, by sending the participation form filled-in online to prenotazioni@museocinema.it. Cost: 6 € + reduced admission to the Museum.

 

Immacolata Week end special every day, from 8 to 10 December:

 

11.00 a.m. History of animated drawings guided tour for kids and families.

The first experiments on motion illusions and the most significant stages in animated drawing, through the Museum collections. Tour cost: 5 € per participant + reduced admission. Duration: 1h. Recipients: families and children starting from 4 year-olds.

 

4.00 p.m. Discovering the Museum guided tour.

For getting to know the Museum and its marvels, from shadow-plays to the Lumière brothers, up to the great stars of the history of film. Cost: 6 € per participant + reduced admission. Duration: 1h30'. Recipients: for everyone.

You are also reminded that up to 8 January 2018 it is possible to visit the great Bestiale! Animal Film Stars exhibition, depicting the multi-faceted universe of animals in cinema. Animals who became actual international stars, who perform, who often talk like their human colleagues and who have been capable of winning over audiences throughout the world.
