The National Cinema Museum at the Pordenone Silent Film Festival.

Giuseppe Verdi Municipal Theatre – From 1 to 6 October 2017 – Pordenone

As is customary, the Turin National Cinema Museum will be present again this year at the new edition of the prestigious Giornate del Cinema Muto di Pordenone festival, reaching its thirty-sixth edition this year, and taking place from 30 September to 7 October 2017.

The Museum will present four rare archive prints (Fauno, Emigrante, Antologia filmati neuropatologici realizzati dal Prof. Camillo Negro con Roberto Omegna, La paura degli aereomobili nemici) and two premieres of new restorations: the documentary on Arctic hunting Spedizioni del Capitano F. E. Kleinschmidt and the appealing documentary Viaggio in Caucaso e Persia.

 

A special event, on Sunday 1 October at 3.45 p.m., with Antonio Coppola, who will undertake the execution of the music score he composed for the Italian symbolist film Fauno, by and with Febo Mari, restored by the Turin National Cinema Museum together with the Brussels Cinémathèque Royale and the Friuli Film Archive and selected this year among the titles of the Canon.
