Lovers Film Festival
The first gay cinema festival in Italy, amongst the most important ones at international level, "Lovers" , recounts different and multi-faceted sexual geographies, but also its care and its profound love for cinema and the LGBTQI community itself.
The Festival, founded by Giovanni Minerba and Ottavio Mario Mai and directed since 2020 by Vladimir Luxuria, keeps developing within continuity and the enhancement of its three decades of tradition: a particularly focused ‘eye’ trained on cinema, offering new, visionary and prophetic narrative viewpoints about complex contemporary reality. Among the many authors it presented over the years with premieres, are Gus Van Sant, Gregg Araki and Ken Russell. The 38° Lovers film Festival edition took place from 18 to 23 April 2023.
