The European Heritage Days, promoted by the Council of Europe with the support of the European Commission, have been opening cultural locations to citizens since 1991, including archaeological, artistic and historical, architectural, cinematographic, theatrical and musical heritage, archives and libraries.

This event involves the 49 Member States of the European Cultural Convention signed in 1954, over several weekends throughout September and October.
