Metropolitan Urban Center presents CITY SCREENINGS.

Palazzo di Città Square – 14-15-16 September 2017, 8.30 p.m.

The Metropolitan Urban Center is organising an open-air film showcase titled CITY SCREENINGS, in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum and the Film Commission Torino Piemonte, on the theme of city transformation, with a presentation of the European IMEDIACITIES project (www.imediacities.eu).

 

Three days of screenings, from 14 to 16 September, at 8.30 p.m. in the Palazzo di Città square, dedicated to the city seen through the big screen. Admission to the screenings is free until full capacity is reached. Audio for sound-films will be through headphones, with rented headphone distribution at the cost of 3.00 euro beginning at 8.00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Urban Center.

14.09.2017 - Addio Giovinezza! (Goodbye Youth!, Augusto Genina, 1918) print from the National Cinema Museum Film Archive, screened with musical accompaniment by Valeria Delmastro.

 

15.09.2017 - La vita possibile (The possible life, Ivano Di Matteo, 2016). Headphones audio.

 

16.09.2017 - The Italian job (Peter Collison, 1969). Headphones audio.

 

Each film will be introduced by three short films selected for the I-Media Cities project:

 

- Documentario su Torino (Documentary on Turin, 1928)

- Robinet chaffeur miope (Robinet, short-sighted chauffeur, 1914)

- Attenti alla vernice! (Beware Painting!, 1913)
