"The crimson pirate" is inaugurating THE MASTERS OF ADVENTURE retrospective.

Library/Mediatheque – 9 January 2017, 3.30 p.m. – Events Room

THE MASTERS OF ADVENTURE is the title of the retrospective inaugurating the 2017 Events Room programmes at the Mario Gromo Library/Mediatheque: a tribute to great adventurous Hollywood cinema, with some classic titles that made generations of viewers dream and bore them to faraway and fantastical places. From the Caribbean of The crimson pirate to the Florida of Distant drums, from late Eighteenth century France in Scaramouche to the Middle Ages in Knights of the Round Table, these four Monday dates will offer some of the best adventure films shot in the first half of the Fifties, when cinema was truly an extraordinary dream-machine.

All screenings are admission-free until full capacity is reached, subject to prior free registration to the Library/Mediatheque and presentation of an ID document.
