For the occasion of the Turin Jazz Festival, MUSEUM AND TERRITORY 4 will present the WALKABOUT JAZZ multi-medial project.

New rendez-vous for MUSEUM AND TERRITORY 4, presenting the Walkabout Jazz multi-medial project, organised by the Comala cultural Association, with the screening of the video mini-series of the same name dedicated to the evolution of styles in Jazz, from its Origins to Modal Jazz.

Musicologist Luca Bragalini will be attending. Introduced by Fabio Pezzetti Tonion (National Cinema Museum).

All content will be available in a totally free manner with no strings attached starting from 3 p.m. on 30 May 2015 on the walkaboutjazz.it website.

 

To follow, a live music performance dedicated to the history of Jazz, arranged for the occasion by Turin resident Edoardo Pascale and played by an orchestra formed by musicians from various ensembles, who took part in this project, which will also feature Emanuele Francesconi on piano, Francesco Partipilo on tenor sax and a mixed wind section, comprising elements from Antonino Salerno’s Orchestravagante and from Luca Begonia’s Big Band Theory.

 

The meeting is taking place for the occasion of the Turin Jazz Festival thanks to the Comala cultural Association, Circoscrizione 3 - City of Turin. MUSEUM AND TERRITORY is a project dedicated to enhancing the collaborative partnership between the National Cinema Museum and Circoscrizione 3.
