For [Import], screening of the faithful transposition of Emily Brontë’s only novel Wuthering Heights by Andrea Arnold.

Cinema Massimo – from 9 to 26 May 2015 – Screen Three

The interesting monthly [Import] rendez-vous is continuing at the Cinema Massimo, with the aim of bringing the very latest films which received great accolades at international festivals, but did not find any distribution in Italy, to the cinema. This occasion is proposing the most faithful and rigorous of the films made after Emily Brontë’s only novel Wuthering Heights, in a cinematic transposition by Andrea Arnold, one of the most important voices in New British cinema. The film concentrates in particular on the first part of the book, lingering on the tale of  young rebel Heathcliff, who has been struggling all his life against racial discrimination. Admission 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.
