The “Mario Gromo” Library/Mediatheque is hosting the Amedeo Buffa… In arte Amedeo Nazzari cycle for its Monday afternoon showcase, closing on Monday 15 September at 3.30 p.m. with the screening of Catene (Chains) by Raffaello Matarazzo. This cycle pinpoints the 1940s as the turning point in Nazzari’s career between auteur and popular cinema.
Amedeo Nazzari (Cagliari, 1907 – Rome, 1979) was one of the top stars of Italian cinema between the 1930s and the 1950s.
