For MUSEUM FOR AFRICA, a special date with the restoration of Viaggio in Congo by Guido Piacenza.

Cinema Massimo – Screen Three – 12 April 2013, 8.30 p.m.

In the framework of Biennale Democrazia 2013, a special rendez-vous, on Friday 12 April 2013, at 8.30 p.m., on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo, with the restoration – carried out by the National Cinema Museum at the Immagine Ritrovata laboratory – of the documentary Viaggio in Congo by Guido Piacenza, shot during his African expedition in 1912.

Organised in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum, the evening will be introduced by the Museum president Ugo Nespolo, by Professor Cecilia Pennacini from Turin University (Culture, politics and society Department), by Milli Piacenza (Piacenza Foundation President) and Andrea Pivotto (Piacenza Foundation Archivist).

 

This free admission screening will also feature a live music accompaniment by percussionist Taté Nsongan and readings from the diary by actor Giancarlo Judica Cordiglia.
