‘A Night at the Museo Nazionale del Cinema’ with Club Silencio returns

From 7.15 pm on Saturday 11th July, "A Night at the Museo Nazionale del Cinema" will offer visitors the opportunity to explore the exhibition devoted to one of the greatest innovators of twentieth-century cinema.

Featuring more than 400 works, documents and previously unseen materials illustrating the creative universe of the director of Citizen Kane, the exhibition will be accompanied by Tommaso Poggi’s musical performance Ombre Vive. Created especially for the event, the project combines an authorial voice with an original electronic soundtrack incorporating sounds from cinema itself, creating a site- and event-specific experience in true Club Silencio style. The performance builds from the stillness of photography and the shadows of Welles to house music, in a continuous dialogue between words, sound and images.

Visitors will also be able to explore the Museum’s permanent exhibition, which traces the history of cinema from its origins to the present day. With more than 760,000 visitors in 2025, the Museo Nazionale del Cinema is one of the most visited museums in Italy.

A new feature of this event is the opportunity to visit A schermo pieno. Eni nel cinema italiano, an exhibition exploring how AGIP service stations have been portrayed in Italian cinema.

The evening will culminate in a spectacular night-time ride in the Panoramic Lift, taking visitors to the Tempietto of the Mole Antonelliana, 85 metres above the ground.
