Max Cooper Live! - SoundFrames special event at the National Cinema Museum.

National Cinema Museum – 7 April 2018, 8.00 p.m. – Mole Antonelliana

For the occasion of the great SoundFrames. Cinema and music on show exhibition – which may be visited throughout 2018 at the Mole Antonelliana - Seeyousound and Artemide Torino are presenting an exclusive live audio/video by Max Cooper, in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum on Saturday 7 April. The performance will take place in the Temple Hall at the Mole Antonelliana.

Sound construction, sound architectures that are overwhelming in their detail, often focusing on the mind by exploiting bass walls as constant and perforating frequency droplets, this is Max Cooper. Method, research and application, studying connections between the individual and sound, in order to play around on how it is possible to speak of music, sometimes, also in terms of causality and control, of focus on reactions rather than intentions. These are exactly the elements Cooper works on, managing to establish multi-medial networks pointing at the listener’s possible answers.

The evening line-up will be enriched with a performance by Mana titled Love Through the Raven Eyes. Mana is the new moniker of Vaghe Stelle, an internationally famed Turin artist who has recently collaborated with labels like OTHER PEOPLE by Nicolas Jaar and HYPERDUB by Kode9, and who will provide a live soundtrack for an excerpt from Die Nibelungen: Siegfried by Fritz Lang.

Admission: 20.00 euro for pre-sales / 25.00 euro on the event evening.
