Short Film Day is back at the Massimo, with the programme curated by the National Short Film Centre.

Cinema Massimo – 21 December 2017, 8.30 p.m. – Screen Three

The shortest day of the year, the winter solstice, on 21 December, is suitable for celebrating the World Short Film Day. Short formats will be celebrated with programmes in cinemas, events and festivals.

Born in in France in 2011 as Le jour le plus court, the Short Film Day currently numbers over fifty countries taking part. In Italy, the National Short Film Centre offers the availability of Italian theatres for programmes of recent Italian shorts, which hopes to embody an overview of contemporary production, through films of various genres, all screened by the most important  international festivals. Short Film Day is an opportunity for discovering short formats at the cinema, even – and especially – for those who do not attend festivals, the main stage for the diffusion of shorts. Admission 4.00 euro.
