Les Garçons Sauvages (The Wild Boys)

(France 2017, 110', DCP, b/w and col., o.v. it.s/t)

At the beginning of the 20th century on the island of La Réunion, five teenagers from good families, fascinated by the occult, commit a savage crime. A Dutch Captain takes them in charge for a punishing cruise on a haunted, dilapidated sailboat. Exhausted by the Captain’s methods, the five boys plan a mutiny. Their port of call is a supernatural island with luxuriant vegetation and spellbinding powers.

Founded in 2016, Sindacato Belleville is made up of filmmakers, film theoreticians and critics who share visions, premises, intentions and possibilities regarding a new and more sincere way of thinking, writing and implementing cinematographic matters.
