La lucida follia di Marco Ferreri (Marco Ferreri’s lucid folly)

(Italy 2017, 77′, dcp, col.)

This documentary is a journey within the unique – both supernatural and earthy – cosmos of the author. A man who abandoned his studies to become a vet, but never abandoned animals, choosing to busy himself mainly with human beings in their bodily and desiring essence. In order to offer a rapprochement to the multifaceted and organic, and difficult for some, world of Ferreri, this film shows clips from his Spanish, Italian and French films and new, clarifying testimonials about his way of directing actors, offered by the protagonists who breathed life into his characters and by his most famous and faithful supporters.
