New rendez-vous for the HISTOIRE(S) DU CINÉMA showcase, with the film screening of Taxi Driver by Martin Scorsese, introduced by Giaime Alonge.

HISTOIRE(S) DU CINÉMA is a showcase – winding through the months of October and November - dedicated to the most significant classics from silent film to the Eighties, introduced and commented by Giaime Alonge and Matteo Pollone. This showcase is organised by the National Cinema Museum and the Humanities Department of Turin University. Admission euro 4 (3 euro for university students).

New York: Travis Bickle, a discharged Vietnam veteran, suffers from insomnia and decides to spend his nights as a taxi driver. Completely alienated, albeit an idealist in search of motivation, the man will fall for a girl and ask her to date him. When matters between them go wrong, a definitely disillusioned Travis retreats within himself.
