One million of Italians does not go to the cinema each year, because they do not know whom to go with and theatres become empty, especially on weekdays. FriendMovie aims to use the potential of digital for relaunching theatrical viewing and enhancing its socialising role. Before the screening on a 35mm print of The Purple Rose of Cairo by Woody Allen, the project will be discussed in the presence of Valentina and Lorenzo D'Amelio (FriendMovie: creators), Christian Zegna (Socializers), a representative of the Ufficio Pio della Compagnia di San Paolo which has given its support to this project, Vittorio Sclaverani (AMNC) and Mattia Ferrari alias VictorLaszlo88, one of the top100 Italian youtubers.
