The National Cinema Museum presents TITANUS 100. A family chronicle of Italian cinema, a retrospective organised by the Locarno Festival.

The Cinema Museum renders tribute to Titanus with Titanus 100. A family chronicle of Italian cinema, organised by the Locarno Festival (curators Roberto Turigliatto and Sergio M. Germani). The retrospective will be inaugurated on Monday 15 September at 4.15 p.m. with the screening of Cronaca familiare (Family Diary) by Valerio Zurlini (Italy 1962), the film starring Marcello Mastroianni, from the novel of the same name by Vasco Pratolini. Admission 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.

 

The showcase will feature 14 films produced by the Italian production company ,founded in Naples in 1904 by Gustavo Lombardo. Titanus 100. A family chronicle of Italian cinema, is organised in collaboration with the Bologna Film Archive, which holds the Titanus Fund, the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – National Film Archive, Istituto Luce Cinecittà and the Swiss Film Archive in Lausanne.
