The Mole Antonelliana on a postage stamp, to mark 150 years from its construction.

The National Cinema Museum is pleased to host the presentation of the postage stamp dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the building work for the Mole Antonelliana, on Saturday 30 November 2013 at 10.30 a.m.

 

The 70 cent stamp depicting the Mole is self-adhesive, and produced from copper-engraving. It is part of the “Italian artistic and cultural Heritage” series, which also includes those dedicated to the archaeological area at Alba Fucens (Massa d’Albe, L’Aquila), the monumental complex of Santa Sofia in Benevento, the Renaissance walls of Lucca, the cathedral of Nardò (Lecce). Two million, six-hundred and sixty-six thousand of them will be printed, in 28 piece sheets
