SPECIAL EVENT– Conference by Guido Michelone on Krzysztof Komeda, a genius of jazz.

Cinema Massimo – 27 April 2013, 6.30 p.m.

For the occasion of the Turin Jazz Festival. Film music by Krzysztof Komeda project – from 26 to 30 April 2013 at the Cinema Massimo – the National Cinema Museum presents the conference held by music critic Guido Michelone titled Krzysztof Komeda, a genius of jazz for cinema in the Sixties, on Saturday 27 April, at 6.30 p.m. at Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo.

The conference is accompanied by the screening of four short films by Roman Polanski. Admission free. 

 

Turin Jazz Festival. Film music by Krzysztof Komeda is a project by the National Cinema Museum created for the occasion of the second edition of the Turin Jazz Festival and will present a cinematographic overview proposing to illustrate this great Polish composer and jazzman’s work for cinema, the author of the music scores for some of the most important Polish films by Wajda, Polanski and Skolimowski,.
