The National Cinema Museum presents Fritz Lang’s film Metropolis on Friday the 15th of October 2010 at 8.45 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen 3, screening a restored copy produced by Murnau Stiftung and the Deutsche Stiftung Kinemathek. This is the most complete version of Fritz Lang’s masterpiece in existence today, following the rediscovery of new scenes, thought to have been lost, two years ago in Argentina. The screening will be accompanied live on the piano by Stefano Maccagno. The film is the third event in the second season of MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS Permanent Festival of Restored Film). Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.
