On the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the “THERE ONCE WAS A WALL: German cinema after the turning point” festival opens its doors

The National Museum of Cinema presents the wide-ranging festival There once was a wall: German film after the turning point at the Cinema Massimo, on the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. This tribute includes a programme of films made over a span of around 50 years - from the construction of the Wall up until the present day - including some of the most important cinematic contributions to our understanding of one of the most symbolic places and events of modern times.
