Our last event in the AMERICAN NOIR series is a screening of Ben Affleck's film Gone baby gone. A surprising directorial debut, where Affleck adapted Dennis Lehane's novel without simplifying its complexities, using a dry style and proving to have considerable skill in choosing and directing his actors. The film is a clear-sighted and unforgiving look at the invisible chasm that lies between the law and justice. Introduction by Andrea Mattacheo.
