The National Museum of Cinema has dedicated this month's first edition of its usual Il CINEMA DEGLI ALTRI (OTHER PEOPLE'S CINEMA) event to the bicentenary of the birth of Cardinal Guglielmo Massaja of the Order of Capuchin Friars. In honour of the anniversary, Nova-T - the TV and multimedia production company - in partnership with the Experimental Cinematography Centre - National Film Archive and the National Museum of Cinema, presents a day of premieres dedicated to this important missionary who converted the Galla people of Ethiopia.
Tuesday 10 November 2009, at Cinema Massimo's Screen 3 at 6pm, a new version of the film Abuna Messias by Goffredo Alessandrini, restored by the National Film Archive, will be shown to the public (admission 3 euros) and at 9pm the documentary Un illustre conosciuto (A Famous Acquaintance) by Paolo Damosso will be premiered, a film produced by Nova-T (free admission).
